SMEs Save Up to 100 Hours a Month as flowpilot Brings Workflows Live in One Day

Every growing Indian business pays a hidden operational tax: manager-hours spent chasing stock figures, purchase approvals and payment follow-ups across spreadsheets and WhatsApp groups. Businesses using flowpilot by Svelto report saving up to 100 hours a month by converting these disconnected processes into live workflows-using AI to move faster while keeping critical business decisions under human control.   flowpilot turns plain English into live workflows in one day – AI builds at speed, while your people control every critical approval flowpilot is an AI-powered Operations OS built on a straightforward observation: enterprise workflow software has often remained out of reach for Indian SMEs because of long implementation cycles, dependence on consultants and the need to replace systems that already work. flowpilot takes a different approach. An operations manager describes a process in plain English-such as a purchase request, stock transfer or vendor onboarding-and flowpilot generates the forms, business rules, owners, approval chains and escalations. Initial workflows can go live within one day, without coding or replacing the accounting, CRM and spreadsheet systems the business already uses. AI creates the workflow, but it does not take control of the business. Managers decide which actions require approval, who can approve them and when an issue must be escalated. Purchases, expenses, vendor onboarding and master-data changes pause for an authorised person before moving forward, with every decision recorded in an audit trail. After seven months in the market, flowpilot supports 40 live workflows across Indian trading, distribution and services businesses. “Owners don’t resist software. They resist the cure being worse than the disease,” said Yugal Kishore, CEO and Co-founder of flowpilot. “Long rollouts, consultants stationed in the office and being asked to abandon systems that teams have used for years create more disruption than value. We built the opposite: describe how your business already works, and the workflow can be running by evening. AI provides the speed, but your people retain control over every decision that matters.” Approvals reach decision-makers through WhatsApp, Slack or email, so work does not wait for someone to log into another application. Owners receive a live view of what is pending, who is responsible and where work is delayed. PV Enterprise, a trading and distribution business operating across four warehouses and three offices, moved stock movements, orders, approvals and payment follow-ups onto flowpilot from a combination of Tally, Zoho CRM, Excel and WhatsApp. The company now uses one live operational view while continuing to use Tally for tax compliance. flowpilot supports workflows across operations, finance and procurement, including order tracking, inventory movement, purchase requests, vendor approvals, payment follow-ups and internal sign-offs. For details or a live workflow demonstration, visit flowpilot.svelto.ai About flowpilot by Svelto flowpilot by Svelto is an AI-powered Operations OS for Indian SMEs and mid-market businesses, enabling same-day deployment of governed business workflows without code or system replacement.

Indian shoppers will be able to discover and experience a curated selection of best of British food and drink through ‘Great Food From Great Britain’, a month-long retail campaign running across Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru this September.   Jaya Choraria, Deputy Trade Commissioner, South Asia with Chef Dean Rodrigues, Head – Patisserie and R&D, Foodstories at the Great British Bite Masterclass in Delhi   Led by the UK Government’s Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST), the campaign will be activated at participating Food Square and Food Stories stores through dedicated displays, product sampling and in-store experiences. It will introduce consumers to the quality, provenance and breadth of British products, while offering practical inspiration for enjoying them across everyday meals and special occasions.   Throughout September, the campaign will feature live cooking demonstrations, workshops, product storytelling and tastings designed to bring food traditions and products from the UK to life. Shoppers will be encouraged to explore new products, pairings and serving ideas across occasions including breakfast and brunch, tea-time, gifting, entertaining, picnics and contemporary at-home dining.   Harjinder Kang, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for South Asia and British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, said, “British food and drink has a strong story to tell Indian consumers – from its quality and provenance to its diversity and versatility. ‘Great Food From Great Britain’ brings that story directly into Indian retail, giving shoppers from Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru the opportunity to discover and experience renowned products from across the UK. With the UK-India Free Trade Agreement now in effect, this campaign is an early testament to the breadth of new possibilities and commercial opportunities unlocked in the food and drink sector for our two countries.”   Ashni Biyani, Co-Founder, Foodstories, said, “Foodstories is a food platform built around the discovery of ingredients, bringing together flavours and food cultures from in and around the world. Storytelling is an important part of how we do this. We want people to come in, interact, explore and discover food through all their senses and understand the people, places and craft behind what they eat, rather than simply see products on a shelf. Our customers in India are increasingly discerning and curious about quality and Britain has a long history of showing how good ingredients, craftsmanship and attention to detail can elevate everyday life through food. This campaign, in partnership with Great Britain, allows us to take that storytelling further, giving our customers a chance to experience the depth and diversity of British food culture, from its ingredients and traditions to the craft behind them.”   The campaign is designed for food-curious consumers and occasion-led shoppers seeking premium and international products, as well as fresh inspiration for entertaining and social occasions. By combining product discovery with sampling and culinary experiences, the initiative aims to make British food and drink engaging, relevant and accessible to Indian consumers. The UK-India trade deal which came into effect on 15 July this year has also made access to several food and drink products cheaper, quicker and easier, bringing sweeping benefits for consumers across both countries.   Great Food From Great Britain brings together British products like cheese, biscuits, cookies, jams, teas, coffees, chocolates and more in a coordinated multi-city retail platform. The campaign supports greater awareness and trial of food and drink from the UK while helping consumers discover new ways to enjoy British flavours at home and on special occasions.

From Partnership to Placement: Techno Smile and SRM University-AP Chart a Career Pathway to Japan

An industry-academia partnership earns its worth not in the signing of an agreement, but in what follows it. For SRM University-AP, a collaboration first formalised with Techno Smile, a Japanese technology enterprise, has in the space of a few months moved well past ceremony and into placement, giving eighteen of its engineering students their first foothold in a career abroad, with many more expected to follow.   Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar, SRM University-AP, with TechnoSmile leadership, university leaders and students from the Placement Drive   Techno Smile conducted a two-day job fair on SRM AP campus, on September 10 and 11. Through this initiative, seventeen engineering students from the University’s 2027 Destination Japan graduating batch were selected for international career tracks, the first tangible milestone toward the fifty opportunities promised for 2028. This success stems from a collaboration formally set in motion on June 2, when a delegation from Techno Smile visited the SRM AP campus to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the University, signed on behalf of the institution by Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar of SRM University-AP. It laid the foundation for what both sides described as a long-term collaboration, with Techno Smile setting out an ambitious vision, to create fifty career opportunities for SRM AP engineering students by 2028. That commitment was carried forward on August 6, when Mr Sankar Karunanidhi, Country Manager at SRM Global Consulting Pvt Ltd, travelled to Techno Smile’s Aichi Head Office in Nagoya to meet Mr Ryoma Yoshinaga, Managing Executive Officer of the company’s Technology Business Division, and Mr Syuntaro Suzuki, Deputy Head of the same division. Their discussions centred on the practical steps needed to turn the partnership’s early promise into a functioning hiring pipeline for SRM AP students.   TechnoSmile’s senior management interacts with 1,000+ engineering students on career opportunities in Japan   On campus, the University’s Corporate Relations and Career Services team, led by Dr M S Vivekanandan, Director of Corporate Relations and Career Services, along with Mr Jotish Kumar, CEO of SRM Global Consulting, as part of the Destination Japan programme, undertook the task of preparing students for a recruitment process shaped by Japanese hiring conventions. Led by the CRCS team, the programme combines Japanese-style interview training, technical readiness, and communication coaching, equipping graduating batches to compete confidently for international placements and reflecting the University’s commitment to global careers. Over the following weeks after the visit, students were trained in the technical competencies the industry expects, and the finer points of self-introduction and communication, training meant to make them genuinely ready for these roles. The partnership’s reach, however, extends well beyond those directly selected. During their visit on September 10th and 11th, Techno Smile’s senior management engaged with over a thousand first- and second-year engineering students, introducing them to the possibilities that a career in Japan might hold and encouraging them to weigh the option seriously as they progress through their studies, an exercise in early awareness as much as recruitment. The University remains committed to building similar pathways that place its students within international industries and careers extending past national borders: from SRM University-AP to Japan, building careers without borders.

Meril Launches HALO Stem and Latitud Revision Cup System for Anatomical Reconstruction

Meril Life Sciences, an India-based global medtech company, has announced the dual launch of its HALO (Hybrid Asian Low Offset) Stem and the Latitud Revision Acetabular Cup System, designed to provide a complete primary-to-revision ecosystem for total hip arthroplasty (THA), with a focus on anatomical reconstruction, stable fixation and consistent implant positioning.   HALO (Hybrid Asian Low Offset) Stem   The launch of HALO Stem and the Latitud Revision Cup also reflects the growing role of Indian medical device innovation in advancing orthopaedic care. For decades, the Indian orthopaedic market relied heavily on imported Western implants, which were primarily engineered around European and North American anatomical datasets. However, Indian and Asian anatomies present distinct variations including lower femoral offsets, narrower intramedullary canals, and smaller pelvic profiles. To address this mismatch and reduce reliance on Western designs, Meril collaborated with top Indian orthopaedic surgeons to pioneer a surgeon-led approach grounded in indigenous 3D CT scan morphometric studies of local patient populations.   Hip replacement in India is increasingly relevant beyond the traditional perception of it being a procedure primarily associated with older adults. Avascular necrosis (AVN), developmental conditions, trauma, inflammatory arthritis and other conditions can affect younger and active individuals, making anatomical restoration and predictable outcomes important considerations in total hip arthroplasty.   The HALO Stem has been designed with these anatomical considerations in mind. Its geometry is intended to support anatomical reconstruction while facilitating fit, alignment and load transfer. The stem incorporates a 135° neck angle, a moderate 2.5° taper angle, ribbed geometry for rotational stability and fixation, extended ribs to support fixation and facilitate removal, a polished neck and distal tip for smoother insertion, and a blasted surface for enhanced fixation.   Dr Vijay C. Bose, The Director & Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon of SIMS Hospital   Speaking about the design philosophy behind the HALO Stem, The Director & Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon of SIMS Hospital, Dr. Vijay C. Bose, said, “The development of the HALO Stem was driven by the need to address the anatomical and surgical considerations we encounter in our patients. The objective was to create a stem that supports accurate anatomical reconstruction while providing reliable primary stability and controlled insertion. The design features have been developed with the surgeon’s requirements and the patient’s anatomy in mind, with an emphasis on consistency and predictability during total hip arthroplasty.”   Dr. Krishna Kiran, The Director and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon of Medicover Hospital   Dr. Krishna Kiran, The Director and Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon of Medicover Hospital said, “Addressing complex acetabular bone loss requires high intraoperative adaptability. The Latitud Revision Cup was designed to give surgeons complete anatomical freedom allowing us to tackle challenging Paprosky defects and narrow pelvic structures with confidence, while eliminating our reliance on Western revision options.”   With the launch of HALO Stem and Latitud Revision Cup, Meril continues to expand its orthopaedic portfolio with solutions focused on addressing clinical and anatomical requirements relevant to Indian and Asian patient populations.   About Meril Life Sciences Meril is an India-based global medical device company focused on advancing healthcare through innovation and strong R&D.
